As we all may already know, finding the right foundation shade for your skin tone is extremely important. If it doesn't match your skin then using it would just be a waste of time, effort, and money. Here are some simple tips on how anyone can find their perfect shade.

Sometimes the face naturally pulls more red or lighter etc. A more neutral toned foundation usually looks better on everyone becuase sometimes yellows pull too yellow and pinks pull too pink. Tip #1: First of all, you must determine if you have a cool or warm undertone. This is the reason why Mac has both NC and NW. NC stands for cool tones, and NW stands for warm tones. This is why I love Mac. It is so easy to pick your undertone and they have every shade from 15 being the lightest and 55 being the darkest. So how do you know which under tone you have? Well, to make it simple lets put it this way:
1. Look at inner wrist - veins will appear green.
2. Gold jewelry is more flattering than silver jewelry.
3. You have more yellow in your skin.
Cool skin tone:
1. Look at inner wrist - veins will appear blue.
2. Silver jewelry is more flattering.
3.You have more pink in your skin.
*Edit* Please note that Mac considers NC to have yellow tones, & NW pink tones.
